چکیده

This paper presents a method for fast calculation of the egomotion done by a robot using visual features. The method is part of a complete system for automatic map building and Simultaneous Location and Mapping (SLAM). The method uses optical flow in order to determine if the robot has done a movement. If so, some visual features which do not accomplish several criteria are deleted, and then the egomotion is calculated. We use a state-of-the-art algorithm (TORO) in order to rectify the map and solve the SLAM problem. The proposed method provides better efficiency that others current methods.

RGB-D SLAM Based on Extended Bundle Adjustment with 2D and 3D Information

In the study of SLAM problem using an RGB-D camera, depth information and visual information as two types of primary measurement data are rarely tightly coupled during refinement of camera pose estimation. In this paper, a new method of RGB-D camera SLAM is proposed based on extended bundle adjustment with integrated 2D and 3D information on the basis of a new projection model. First, the geome...

StaticFusion: Background Reconstruction for Dense RGB-D SLAM in Dynamic Environments

In this paper we propose a method for robust dense RGB-D SLAM in dynamic environments which detects moving objects and simultaneously reconstructs the background structure. Dynamic environments are challenging for visual SLAM as moving objects can impair camera pose tracking and cause corruptions to be integrated into the map. While most methods employ implicit robust penalizers or outlier filt...

Towards a benchmark for RGB-D SLAM evaluation

We provide a large dataset containing RGB-D image sequences and the ground-truth camera trajectories with the goal to establish a benchmark for the evaluation of visual SLAM systems. Our dataset contains the color and depth images of a Microsoft Kinect sensor and the groundtruth trajectory of camera poses. The data was recorded at full frame rate (30 Hz) and sensor resolution (640x480). The gro...

Robust Keyframe-based Dense SLAM with an RGB-D Camera

In this paper, we present RKD-SLAM, a robust keyframe-based dense SLAM approach for an RGB-D camera that can robustly handle fast motion and dense loop closure, and run without time limitation in a moderate size scene. It not only can be used to scan high-quality 3D models, but also can satisfy the demand of VR and AR applications. First, we combine color and depth information to construct a ve...

6DOF SLAM with Stereo-in-hand

In this paper we describe a system that carries out SLAM using a stereo pair moving with 6DOF as the only sensor. Textured point features are extracted from the images and stored as 3D points if seen in both images with sufficient disparity, or stored as inverse 3D points otherwise. This allows the system to make use of both near and far features that provide distance and orientation, or orient...
