چکیده

We describe a new rat immunoglobulin M monoclonal antibody (CH-F42) that recognizes a subset (1.5% to 8%) of normal peripheral blood T lymphocytes. The phenotype of these cells was determined, using dual-color immunofluorescence, to be CD2+, CD3'. CD4'. CD5'. CD7-, CD8-. They do not express T-cell activation markers, and are positive for UCHLl (CD46RO). but negative for 2H4 (CD45RA). The antigen was expressed on circulating malignant cells in Shzary syndrome (four of four cases) and adult T-cell lymphoma-leukemia (ATLL) (four of six cases) and negative in a variety of other hematologic malignancies tested. These included chronic and acute lymphoid leuke-

CD4+CD7-CD57+ T cells: a new T-lymphocyte subset expanded during human immunodeficiency virus infection.

CD7 and CD57 are two cell surface molecules related to the differentiation or functional stages of CD4+ T cells. The CD4+CD7- T cells represent a minor subset of CD4+ cells in normal individuals and are considered to contain the normal counterpart of Sézary T cells; the CD4+CD57+ peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) are detectable in long-term renal allograft recipients. We compared the cell surf...

Characterization of Immunophenotypic Aberrancies in Adult and Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: Lessons from Regional Variation

Background & Objective: Although the antigen expression patterns of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are well known, this study attempted to evaluate commonly used immune markers for immunophenotyping of acute leukemia to set the minimum of necessary diagnostic panels by flow cytometry. Methods: This study evaluated 89 patients referred from all over th...

Monoclonal T-cell dyscrasia of undetermined significance associated with recalcitrant erythroderma.

BACKGROUND Erythroderma is a diffuse, inflammatory skin reaction that, in rare instances, is associated with hematologic malignancies such as cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (erythrodermic mycosis fungoides) or T-cell leukemia (Sezary syndrome or adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma). OBSERVATIONS We screened 30 patients with erythroderma (20 patients with erythroderma of known etiology and 10 patients w...

A single monoclonal antibody identifies T-cell lineage of childhood lymphoid malignancies.

Immunophenotyping studies with monoclonal antibodies have revealed the heterogeneity of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). The lymphoid malignancies of T-cell lineage are particularly heterogeneous and, until now, no single monoclonal antibody has been found to identify all cases of T-ALL and T-NHL. A monoclonal antibody, 4H9, recognizes an antigen of...
