چکیده

Single neurons in the dorsolateral band of the rat entorhinal cortex (dMEC) fire as a function of rat position whenever the rat is on any vertex of a regular triangular lattice, that tiles the entire plane (Hafting et al., 2005). Even in the dark, the pattern refreshes correctly with rat movement, and maintains its coherence over paths whose accumulated length exceeds 200 m (Hafting et al., 2005). For dMEC activity to be a precise function of the rat’s changing position in the dark, it must have access to an accurate estimate of position based on selfmotion cues, suggesting that dMEC may be involved in idiothetic path integration.

Synthesis novel bis-Coumarin derivatives as potential acetylcholinestrase inhibitors: An in vitro, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics simulations study

Alzheimer's disease is an irreversible and progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills and ultimately the ability to do the simplest things and can lead to death. Cholinesterases (ChEs) play an important role in controlling cholinergic transmission, and subsequently, by inhibiting CHEs, acetylcholine levels in the brain are elevated. Coumarins have been shown to e...

ارزیابی پویشگر ریسک به منظور شناسایی ریسک‌های در حال ظهور با استفاده از مدل آنالیز تشدید کارکرد: مطالعه‌ی موردی در یک واحد فرایندی

Background and aim: Today, it was revealed that Socio-technical systems did not have a bimodal nature and interactions in these systems are complex and non-linear. Consequently, since risks can be emerged as non-linear combinations of performance variability, so traditional methods of risk assessment are not able to capture these combinations. The present paper is aimed at identifying the eme...

Emergent features due to grid-cell biology: synchronisation in biophysical models.

Modelling studies of upper ocean phenomena, such as that of the spatial and temporal patchiness in plankton distributions, typically employ coupled biophysical models, with biology in each grid-cell represented by a plankton ecosystem model. It has not generally been considered what impact the choice of grid-cell ecosystem model, from the many developed in the literature, might have upon the re...

مدل شبکه ی عصبی از نگاشت سلول‌های شبکه به سلول‌های مکانی

Abstract: Medial entorhinal cortex is known to be the hub of a brain system for navigation and spatial representation. These cells increase firing frequency at multiple regions in the environment, arranged in regular triangular grids. Each cell has some properties including spacing, orientation, and phase shift of the nodes of its grid. Entorhinal cortex is commonly perceived to be the major in...

Three Dimensional Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis of a Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell

A full three-dimensional, single phase computational fluid dynamics model of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) with both the gas distribution flow channels and the Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) has been developed. A single set of conservation equations which are valid for the flow channels, gas-diffusion electrodes, catalyst layers, and the membrane region are developed and numer...
