چکیده
Vibration isolators are widely used in high-precision machines to reduce the transmissibility function T , which represents the transfer from base frame vibrations to payload vibrations. Active vibration control (AVC) can be used to further improve T . However, for industrial systems with AVC it is often difficult to show improvement of T via system identification, since it is hard to sufficiently excite the heavy base frame with shakers during operating conditions. In that case, floor vibrations can provide additional base frame excitations to estimate T . This abstract presents measurement results [1] on an industrial system, see Figure 1, to show the benefit of combining both sources of excitation.

In many physical systems, the variables that define the performance cannot be measured directly. This may for instance stem from constraints on sensor cost, or from physical limitations in sensor placement. The performance has to be inferred from the measured variables with models, and is therefore inherently determined by model accuracy, see [1] for inferential control in the process industry,...

In this paper we conduct the analysis of economic and ecological aspects of alternative energy carriers based on biomass sources. These sources encompass short rotation copies, forest wood residue, wood industry residues, waste wood as well as energy crops. In 2010 the energy output from all these biomass-based alternative energy carriers was about 4000 PJ in the EU-15. We show which energy out...
