Cellular binding of nanoparticles in the presence of serum proteins.

چکیده
Cellular binding of cationic nanoparticles in the presence of serum proteins was probed with two-colour fluorescence microscopy. Cationic nanoparticles associate with serum proteins in solution and bind to the cell surface as a single anionic complex. Displacement of serum proteins from the nanoparticles was found to be protein dependent.

Alpha-1 antitrypsin, retinol binding protein and keratin 10 alterations in patients with psoriasis vulgaris, a proteomic approach
Objective(s):Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease that appears on the skin. Although psoriasis is clinically and histologically well characterized, its pathogenesis is unknown in detail. The aims of this study were to evaluate the proteome of psoriatic patients' sera and to compare them with those of normal healthy human to find valuable biomarkers. Materials and Methods: In a case-control study,...

The aim of this study was to investigate the cytotoxicity of silver nanoparticles AgNPs coated with different proteins on Balb/c macrophages. Materials and Methods: In this study these items were evaluated: 1) the size of aggregation, 2) the quantity and mechanisms of uptake, ...
متن کاملSerum Factors Induced the Nuclear Location of Annexin V in the Human Osteosarcoma Cell Line (MG-63)
Calcium-binding proteins play essential roles in the cell. One important class of calcium-binding proteins is the annexin family. This is a family of 13 proteins, which binds to phospholipids in a calcium-dependent manner. Osteosarcoma cell line (MG-63) is a transformed cell that has many characteristics of the differentiated cell, such as a considerable serum dependency in its growth rate. Usi...
متن کاملBINDING OF NAPROXEN TO SERUM PROTEINS IN PATIENTS WITH LIVER CIRRHOSIS AND HEALTHY INDIVIDUALS
A three-fold decrease of the in vitro ability of serum proteins to bind naproxen was shown in patients with cirrhosis of the liver compared to healthy individuals. This decrease was caused by quantitative changes in serum proteins in the sera of patients with liver damage. Lower doses of naproxen are therefore suggested in the treatment of patients with liver dysfunction.
متن کاملCellular Binding of Anionic Nanoparticles is Inhibited by Serum Proteins Independent of Nanoparticle Composition.
Nanoparticles used in biological applications encounter a complex mixture of extracellular proteins. Adsorption of these proteins on the nanoparticle surface results in the formation of a "protein corona," which can dominate the interaction of the nanoparticle with the cellular environment. The goal of this research was to determine how nanoparticle composition and surface modification affect t...
