Bruno Pontecorvo was a great physicist who had enormous impact on the development of neutrino physics. He was charming, marvelous person. I worked with B. Pontecorvo in Dubna about 15 years and during these years we were connected by warm, friendly relations. In this talk I will speak about major contributions of Bruno Pontecorvo to neutrino physics and I will try to convey my impression about his personality.

We study Pontecorvo neutrino-antineutrino oscillations both in vacuum and in matter within a field theoretic approach, showing that this phenomenon can occur only if neutrinos have a Dirac-Majorana mass term.
