Equipment replacement: an integration view " (1989). Retrospective Theses and Dissertations. Paper 9221. The most advanced technology has been used to photo graph and reproduce this manuscript from the microfilm master. UMI films the text directly from the original or copy submitted. Thus, some thesis and dissertation copies are in typewriter face, while others may be from any type of computer printer. The quality of this reproduction is dependent upon the quality of the copy submitted. Broken or indistinct print, colored or poor quality illustrations and photographs, print bleedthrough, substandard margins, and improper alignment can adversely affect reproduction. In the unlikely event that the author did not send UMI a complete manuscript and there are missing pages, these will be noted. Also, if unauthorized copyright material had to be removed, a note will indicate the deletion. Oversize materials (e.g., maps, drawings, charts) are re produced by sectioning the original, beginning at the upper left-hand corner and continuing from left to right in equal sections with small overlaps. Each original is also photographed in one exposure and is included in reduced form at the back of the book. These are also available as one exposure on a standard 35mm slide or as a IT x 23" black and white photographic print for an additional charge. Photographs included in the original manuscript have been reproduced xerographically in this copy. Higher quality 6" x 9" black and white photographic prints are available for any photographs or illustrations appearing in this copy for an additional charge. Integral equation of optimal replacement: Analysis and algorithms
The paper is devoted to theoretic and numeric investigation of a nonlinear integral equation with an unknown function in the upper limit of integration. This equation appears in optimal replacement problems of engineering and production economics. Its solution is essential for finding the optimal policy of equipment replacement under technological advances. Solvability and qualitative dynamics ...
متن کاملGeopolitical Divergence in the League of Arab States from a Neorealist Point of View
The League of Arab States (also known as the Arab League) is well past its sixth decade of establishment. However, it has a long way to go to achieve the objectives enumerated in its charter. In a sense, there is much stronger propensity towards disintegration than integration in the League. This article seeks to study the reasons that account for the failure of such integration in the Arab Lea...
متن کاملComparing the effect of NaCl and KCl on the growth of Listeria monocytogenes with a view to NaCl replacement
In this study, the effects of various concentrations of NaCl and KCl and partial replacement of NaCl withKCl on the growth characteristics of L. monocytogenes were evaluated. It was found that L. monocytogenescan grow in the presence of 1-9% NaCl and 1-11% KCl. The higher the concentration of salt used, the longerthe lag phase induced. In addition, it was observed that L. monocytogenes tolerate...
