چکیده

Renal lymphoma as an initial lesion is relatively rare. Bilateral renal lymphoma frequently presents as acute kidney injury. With systematic chemotherapy for the lymphoma, patients usually recover their kidney function. However, in the case we describe here, the patient's kidney function recovered greatly after an open renal biopsy. Here, we review and discuss this unique case.

Massively Enlarged Kidneys Due to Leukemic Infiltration in a Child

A few cases with bilateral renal enlargement in acute lymphoblastic leukemia were reported in literature. In this article, we reported an unusual case of a child with precursor B-ALL presenting with massively enlarged bilateral unobstructed kidneys and acute renal failure. Renal involvement of ALL should be taken into consideration in case with massively enlarged bilateral kidneys in radiologic...

Evaluating the Recovery Process of Renal Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury in Rats Using Small-Animal SPECT

Background: Renal injuries associated with ischemia/reperfusion are a prevalent clinical phenomenon that can cause the emergence of progressive kidney diseases, eventually leading to chronic kidney injuries. The present study was conducted to evaluate the results obtained from non-invasive imaging using small-animal SPECT and investigate the recovery process in an animal model of renal ischemia...

Acute renal failure due to renal lymphomatous infiltration as the initial manifestation

A male patient with acute renal failure (ARF) due to large B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma infiltration of kidney is presented. The diagnosis was suspected because of coincidence of ARF and tumor lysis syndrome non-responsive to conservative renal therapies. A renal biopsy confirmed diagnosis and appropriate chemotherapy led to complete improvement of renal function.

Successful Treatment of Monoclonal Gammopathy of Renal Significance With Bortezomib in the Setting of Post- Viral SARs-CoV-2 Infection: Case Report

Introduction: Monoclonal Gammopathy of Renal Significance (MGRS) is an immunoglobulin proliferative disorder that leads to the destruction of the renal glomerular basement membrane and progression to end-stage renal disease. The pathogenesis of MGRS is similar to that of multiple myeloma and chronic lymphocytic lymphoma but lacks criteria for either disease. This inability to characterize the d...

Precursor T-lymphoblastic lymphoma presenting as primary renal lymphoma with acute renal failure

We report a case of acute renal failure (ARF) and bilateral nephromegaly in a patient with a history of Crohn's disease and treatment with azathioprine. Kidney biopsy revealed diffuse renal infiltration by precursor T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL). At the time of diagnosis, no extrarenal manifestations of the lymphoma were detectable and therefore the lymphoma was categorized as primary r...
