A Method of the UMTS-FDD Network Design Based on Universal Load Characteristics

چکیده

In the paper an original method of the UMTS radio network design was presented. The method is based on simple way of capacitycoverage trade-off estimation for WCDMA/FDD radio interface. This trade-off is estimated by using universal load characteristics and normalized coverage characteristics. The characteristics are useful for any propagation environment as well as for any service performance requirements. The practical applications of these characteristics on radio network planning and maintenance were described.
