Solid phase microextraction (SPME)-transmission mode (TM) pushes down detection limits in direct analysis in real time (DART).

چکیده
A new SPME device was developed and applied for quick solventless extraction/enrichment of small molecules from complex matrices. Subsequently, the device was coupled as a transmission mode substrate to DART resulting in limits of detection in the low pg mL(-1) level in less than 3 minutes with reproducibility below 5% RSD.

Application of Polypyrrole Coated Stainless-Steel Wire to the Headspace Solid-Phase Microextraction of Aliphatic Amines
The electrochemical coating technique was used for the preparation of a polypyrrole coating on a stainless-steel wire, and applied as a fibre for solid phase microextraction (SPME). The polypyrrole fibre was employed for analyzing four volatile aliphatic amines (ethylamine, propylamine, butylamine and pentylamine) in water by headspace SPME using gas chromatography-flame ionization detection (G...
متن کاملRecent Advances in Microextraction Methods for Sampling and Analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds in Air: A Review
Human exposures to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are associated with a wide range of health problems. Due to these adverse effects of VOCs on the human health, determination of trace levels of VOCs is very important for accurate assessment of indoor and outdoor exposure. Solid phase microextraction (SPME), needle trap device (NTD) and hollow fiber- liquid phase microextraction (HF-LPME) are...
متن کاملHCl- Etched Steel Fiber for Determination of Phthalates in Water Samples by Solid-Phase Microextraction
In the present work, a stainless steel wire was etched by hydrochloric acid during a chemical etching process. The obtained black layer on the surface of the fiber was used as sorbent for extraction of trace amount of phthalates in the aqueous samples by solid phase microextraction. New fiber efficiency was investigated using a home-made solid-phase microextraction (SPME) device and gas chr...
متن کاملDetermination of 17 kinds of banned organochlorine pesticides in water by activated carbon fiber-solid phase microextraction coupled with GC-MS.
Activated carbon fiber (ACF) as extraction fiber for solid-phase microextraction (SPME) and its application for the analysis of banned organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) were investigated. Firstly, ACF was activated by different concentration of zinc chloride, which indicated that ACF activated by 60% zinc chloride had a reasonable specific surface area, pore volume and pore distribution. Secondl...
متن کاملQuantitative solid phase microextraction - gas chromatography mass spectrometry analysis of the pesticides lindane, heptachlor and two heptachlor transformation products in groundwater.
This paper describes the development and validation of a method for the determination of lindane, heptachlor and two heptachlor transformation products (exo- and endo-heptachlor epoxide) in groundwater. Samples were extracted using a simple solid phase microextraction (SPME) method with a polyacrylate fibre prior to detection by gas chromatography mass spectrometry in electron impact ionisation...
