This report deals with characterization o f the soluble part o f this radio activity. By GC/MS of suitable derivatives 3-(l,2,4-triazol-l-yl)-2-aminopropionic acid was identi fied as a new metabolite o f amitrole. Significant parts of radiolabel were incorporated into genuine plant products, indicating liberation o f 14C 0 2 from the applied substance followed by reassimilation. Possible pathways of metabolism of amitrole within the system soil/apple tree are discussed.

متن کاملComparative assessment of sugar and malic acid composition in cultivated and wild apples.
Soluble sugar and malic acid contents in mature fruits of 364 apple accessions were quantified using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Fructose and sucrose represented the major components of soluble sugars in cultivated fruits, whilst fructose and glucose were the major items of sugars in wild fruits. Wild fruits were significantly more acidic than cultivated fruits, whilst the av...
متن کاملModeling Static Bruising in Apple Fruits: A Comparative Study, Part I: Analytical Approach
ABSTRACT- Bruising degrades the quality of fresh apple fruits. Reducing bruise damage is of utmost importance in designing and developing processing equipments. The main objective of the present study was to introduce an analytical method to predict the allowable static load applicable to apple fruits. To predict the strain energy absorbed by the fruit, a point load was applied on the solid sph...
