چکیده

Multiple description coding is one of the coding techniques used in the non-prioritized networks to transmit image. In this coding method, the image is split into two or more descriptions and compressed with a controlled level of redundancy. Because of the introduced controlled redundancy the image can be recovered from the other descriptions. Due to this there is a slight degradation in the recovered image. A previous paper used Hadamard transform to compress the image in progressive coding. It is an iterative process in which Hadamard transform is used iteratively to produce the compressed image. By this 25% of the pixels are sent as it is. From the two system parameters M and ∆, the value temp is calculated. 75% of the image is Hadamard transformed, divided by temp and quantized by the system parameter, M. This yields bits per pixel. Thus the compressed file has the size 0.25*8+0.75* . This gives a compression ratio of 8/(0.25*8+0.75* ). By the virtue of the Hadamard transform in this paper 75% of the image has a compression ratio of 8/ . This is further split into two descriptions along with the remaining 25% of the image which is compressed with DCT2 transform and split into two descriptions. A good compression ratio per description and PSNR after decompression is achieved by using this proposed algorithm.

An Oblivious and Robust Multiple Image Watermarking Scheme Using Genetic Algorithm

A novel oblivious and robust image watermarking scheme using Multiple Descriptions Coding (MDC) and Quantization Index Modulation (QIM) is presented in this work. In the proposed scheme, watermark is embedded in two stages to increase the robustness of the watermark against many of the image processing attacks. First stage embedding is based on MDC. Using MDC, the host image is partitioned into...

Wyner-Ziv Video Coding using Hadamard Transform and Deep Learning

Predictive schemes are current standards of video coding. Unfortunately they do not apply well for lightweight devices such as mobile phones. The high encoding complexity is the bottleneck of the Quality of Experience (QoE) of a video conversation between mobile phones. A considerable amount of research has been conducted towards tackling that bottleneck. Most of the schemes use the so-called W...

Reduction Of PAPR Using HADAMARD SLM In SFBC MIMO- OFDM System

This paper contains the Hadamard Transform in the SLM for the reduction of high peak to average power ratio (PAPR) in MIMOOFDM systems. In this technique, the input sequence is multiplied by a set of phase rotation vectors respectively and then applies the Hadamard Transform to the each resulting sequence based on SFBC. After that perform the Inverse Fast Fourier Transform in order to get the t...

Slant transform watermarking for digital images

In this paper, we propose a digital watermarking algorithm based on the Slant transform for the copyright protection of images. Our earlier research work associated with the fast Hadamard transform for robust watermark embedding and retrieval of images and characters suggests that this transform could also provide a good “hidden” space for digital watermarking. The Slant transform has many simi...

Beam Space-Time of a MIMO OFDM-based Wireless LAN System for 2-D Spreading Channels

We consider the performance analysis of beam space-time of a multiple-input multiple output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems for high data rate wireless transmission. The tools of density evolution with mixture Gaussian approximations are used to compute minimum operational signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) for ergodic MIMO OFDM channels. With the flexibility offered...
