چکیده

Option replication is studied in a discrete-time framework with proportional transaction costs. The model represents an extension of the Cox-RossRubinstein binomial option-pricing model to cover the case of proportional transaction costs for one risky asset with different interest rates on bank credit and deposit. Contingent claims are supposed to be 2-dimensional random variables. Explicit formulas for self-financing strategies are obtained for this case.

A counter-example to an option pricing formula under transaction costs

In the paper by Melnikov and Petrachenko ‘On option pricing in binomial market with transaction costs,’ Finance Stoch. 9 (2005), 141–149, a procedure is put forward for pricing and replicating an arbitrary European contingent claim in the binomial model with bid-ask spreads. We present a counter-example to show that the option pricing formula stated in that paper can in fact lead to arbitrage. ...

European Options under Proportional Transaction Costs: An Algorithmic Approach to Pricing and Hedging

The paper is devoted to optimal superreplication of European options in the discrete setting under proportional transaction costs on the underlying asset. In particular, general pricing and hedging algorithms are developed. This extends previous work by many authors, which has been focused on the binomial tree model and options with specific payoffs such as calls or puts, often under certain bo...

Parallel Binomial American Option Pricing with (and without) Transaction Costs

We present a parallel algorithm that computes the ask and bid prices of an American option when proportional transaction costs apply to the trading of the underlying asset. The algorithm computes the prices on recombining binomial trees, and is designed for modern multi-core processors. Although parallel option pricing has been well studied, none of the existing approaches takes transaction cos...

Option pricing and replication with transaction costs and dividends

This paper derives optimal perfect hedging portfolios in the presence of transaction costs within the binomial model of stock returns, for a market maker that establishes bid and ask prices for American call options on stocks paying dividends prior to expiration. It is shown that, while the option holder's optimal exercise policy at the ex-dividend date varies according to the stock price, ther...
