چکیده

A high-frequency longitudinally driven giant magnetoimpedance ~GMI! effect has been measured in stress-annealed Fe73Cu1Nb1.5V2Si13.5B9 nanocrystalline ribbons. Based on how the impedance phase varies with the external magnetic field, it becomes clear that the imaginary part of the complex permeability, m9, which is related to magnetic losses, plays an important role in the high-frequency longitudinally driven GMI effect. The transverse anisotropy field Hk can be readily determined by a sharp minimum in the curve of the impedance phase as a function of the external magnetic field. This provides a new method for measuring the magnetic anisotropy field in such systems. © 2000 American Institute of Physics. @S0021-8979~00!56908-4#

Effect of Joule-Heating Annealing on Giant Magnetoimpedance of Co64Fe4Ni2B19-xSi8Cr3Alx (x = 0, 1 and 2) Melt-Spun Ribbons

In this work, we have studied the influence of dc joule-heating thermal processing on the structure, magnetoimpedance (MI) and thermal properties of Co64Fe4Ni2B19-xSi8Cr3Alx (x = 0, 1, and 2) rapidly solidified melt-spun ribbons. The nanocrystallization process was carried out by the current annealing of as-spun samples at various current densities. As-spun and joule-heated samples were studied...

Longitudinally driven magneto-impedance effect in annealed Fe-based nanocrystalline powder materials

A powder form of Fe-based nanocrystalline Fe73Cu1Nb1.5V2 Si13.5B9 has been prepared and its longitudinally driven magneto-impedance (LDMI) effect has been studied as a function of the structural and magnetic changes induced by suitable thermal treatments for the first time. The experimental results show that the LDMI ratio increases as the annealing temperature increases in the range of 480–600...

The Disturbing Effect of the Stray Magnetic Fields on Magnetoimpedance Sensors

The disturbing effect of the stray magnetic fields of Fe-based amorphous ribbons on the giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) sensor has been investigated systematically in this paper. Two simple methods were used for examining the disturbing effect of the stray magnetic fields of ribbons on the GMI sensor. In order to study the influence of the stray magnetic fields on the GMI effect, the square-shaped...

High-temperature giant magnetoimpedance in Fe-based nanocrystalline alloy

Giant magnetoimpedance ~GMI! was investigated from room temperature up to 823 K in an Fe-based nanocrystalline Fe73.0Cu1.0Nb2.5V1.0Si13.5B9.0 ribbon. With an increment of the measuring temperature ~T!, GMI shows notable enhancement followed by a declining dependence, yielding a maximum value around 603 K where the relative GMI is nearly four times that at room temperature. The field at the peak...
