A web-based genotyping resource for viral sequences
نویسندگان
چکیده
The Genotyping tool at the National Center for Biotechnology Information is a web-based program that identifies the genotype (or subtype) of recombinant or non-recombinant viral nucleotide sequences. It works by using BLAST to compare a query sequence to a set of reference sequences for known genotypes. Predefined reference genotypes exist for three major viral pathogens: human immunodeficiency virus 1 (HIV-1), hepatitis C virus (HCV) and hepatitis B virus (HBV). User-defined reference sequences can be used at the same time. The query sequence is broken into segments for comparison to the reference so that the mosaic organization of recombinant sequences could be revealed. The results are displayed graphically using color-coded genotypes. Therefore, the genotype(s) of any portion of the query can quickly be determined. The Genotyping tool can be found at: http://www.ncbi.nih.gov/projects/genotyping/formpage.cgi.

High Fuzzy Utility Based Frequent Patterns Mining Approach for Mobile Web Services Sequences
Nowadays high fuzzy utility based pattern mining is an emerging topic in data mining. It refers to discover all patterns having a high utility meeting a user-specified minimum high utility threshold. It comprises extracting patterns which are highly accessed in mobile web service sequences. Different from the traditional fuzzy approach, high fuzzy utility mining considers not only counts of mob...
متن کاملAHP Techniques for Trust Evaluation in Semantic Web
The increasing reliance on information gathered from the web and other internet technologies raise the issue of trust. Through the development of semantic Web, One major difficulty is that, by its very nature, the semantic web is a large, uncensored system to which anyone may contribute. This raises the question of how much credence to give each resource. Each user knows the trustworthiness of ...
متن کاملTGS-TB: Total Genotyping Solution for Mycobacterium tuberculosis Using Short-Read Whole-Genome Sequencing
Whole-genome sequencing (WGS) with next-generation DNA sequencing (NGS) is an increasingly accessible and affordable method for genotyping hundreds of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) isolates, leading to more effective epidemiological studies involving single nucleotide variations (SNVs) in core genomic sequences based on molecular evolution. We developed an all-in-one web-based tool for genot...

متن کاملVIROME: a standard operating procedure for analysis of viral metagenome sequences
One consistent finding among studies using shotgun metagenomics to analyze whole viral communities is that most viral sequences show no significant homology to known sequences. Thus, bioinformatic analyses based on sequence collections such as GenBank nr, which are largely comprised of sequences from known organisms, tend to ignore a majority of sequences within most shotgun viral metagenome li...
