Introduction The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is frequently affected in juvenile idiopathic arthritis ( JIA). Depending on cohorts, up to 80 percent of JIA patients with peripheral arthritis have been shown to have synovitis of the TMJ on MRI [1].
