چکیده
An Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) is a device that is a giant tactile and projection screen. It can be considered as one of the main elements for pedagogical innovation with information technology. IWB allows to transform the classical classroom environment into a working and learning interactive environment. This pedagogical tool is particularly pertinent in higher school especially in scientific teaching where it allows to better illustrate scientific approach thanks to the ability to record annotations in association with a time line. If the use of IWB seems to be natural in lecture, it can also be used in tutorial and practical class where collaborative work is particularly important. The collaborative ability is closely tied to the softwares used. Few software have functionalities aimed at facilitate collaborative work. This feature is the main issue of this article. To develop this ability, a multi-agent approach has been chosen. Multi-agent systems approach is one of the most interesting thanks to its intrinsic properties and features such as simplicity, flexibility, reliability, self-organization/emergent phenomena, low cost agent design and adaptation skills,... This paper presents the solution developed in order to make IWB able to communicate with each

متن کاملSupporting Transitions in Work: Informing Groupware Design by Understanding Whiteboard Use
Many groupware tools focus on supporting collaborative real-time work; yet in practice, work spans many different modes: from collaborative to independent activity, and from synchronous, real-time activity to asynchronous activity. How can we design tools that allow users to transition between these modes of activity smoothly in their work? We consider how the common office and domestic whitebo...
متن کاملSupporting Collaborative Communication in a Multi-layer Meta-process Model for Evolutionary Shared Workflows
A key planning activity within a Virtual Enterprise (VE) is to establish agreed inter-organizational processes. This activity, or meta-process, has to allow for gradual evolution of the VE processes and for a multi layer development from informal business agreements to precise workflows. To support this meta-process, a collaborative electronic whiteboard supported by a tuplespace is proposed. T...
متن کاملSimulating Additional Area on Tele-Board's Large Shared Display
Digital whiteboard systems can simulate an infinite amount of surface area on a single display; however the hardware’s limited size necessitates supplementary virtual tools to navigate the area. In what ways does this less convenient setup hinder established collaborative workflows? Participants in our pilot study were asked to synthesize data on either a traditional whiteboard setup with multi...
متن کاملTowards a Classroom Ecology of Devices: Interfaces for Collaborative Scripts
The ShareIT Project has been investigating how interactive tabletops can support co-located collaborative learning. As interactive tabletops are still in their infancy, basic questions of how these interfaces support collaboration are still unanswered. To address these, we have been conducting conventional psychology experiments, where a small intervention is run with a significant number of gr...
