Simulating the dynamic interaction between pantograph and catenary

چکیده
This article presents the simulation environment developed and used by Deutsche Bahn AG in order to simulate the dynamic interaction between pantograph and overhead line system. The program has been developed in co-operation with Heinz-Nixdorf-Institute of the university of Paderborn, Germany. Much importance was attached in the realistic modelling of the system’s behaviour when developing the program. The high quality of the simulation environment is proved by validation of the program with respect to measured data.
