چکیده

The d-dimensional generalization of the point canonical transformation for a quantum particle endowed with a position-dependent mass in Schrödinger equation is described. Illustrative examples including; the harmonic oscillator, Coulomb, spiked harmonic, Kratzer, Morse oscillator, Pőschl-Teller and Hulthén potentials are used as reference potentials to obtain exact energy eigenvalues and eigenfunctions for target potentials at different position-dependent mass settings. When the classical & quantum mechanical considerations hint to a single point; a microscopic particle in a one dimensional box with two infinite walls and a linear potential inside it

In this paper we have solved analytically the Schrödinger equation for a microscopic particle in a one-dimensional box with two infinite walls, which the potential function inside it, has a linear form. Based on the solutions of this special quantum mechanical system, we have shown that as the quantum number approaches infinity the expectation values of microscopic particle position and square ...

On a Class of Quantum Canonical Transformations and the Time-Dependent Harmonic Oscillator

Quantum canonical transformations corresponding to the action of the unitary operator e √ f(x)p √ f(x) is studied. It is shown that for f(x) = x, the effect of this transformation is to rescale the position and momentum operators by e and e, respectively. This transformation is shown to lead to the identification of a previously unknown class of exactly solvable time-dependent harmonic oscillat...

A singular position dependent mass particle in an infinite potential well

We consider an unusual singular position=dependent-mass particle in an infinite potential well. The corresponding Hamiltonian is mapped through a point-canonical-transformation and an explicit correspondence between the target Hamiltonian and a Pöschl-Teller type reference Hamiltonian is obtained. New ordering ambiguity parametric setting are suggested. PACS codes: 03.65.Ge, 03.65.Ca

Quantum particles trapped in a position-dependent mass barrier; a d-dimensional recipe

We consider a free particle, V (r) = 0, with a position-dependent mass m(r) = 1/(1 + ςr) in the d-dimensional Schrödinger equation. The effective potential turns out to be a generalized Pöschl-Teller potential that admits exact solution. PACS numbers: 03.65.Ge, 03.65.Fd,03.65.Ca
