Link capacity allocation by input power spectrum

چکیده
Consider a multimedia input traac stream, described by a stationary random process. Our previous study indicates that second-order input statistics, which are described by power spectrum in the frequency domain, play a dominant role in queueing performance as compared with higher-order input statistics. In this paper we show the signiicant eeect of input power spectrum on link capacity allocation in a nite-buuer system to achieve a desired performance criterion. The study also explores a fundamental limit of buuer sizing to improve link capacity when traac contains signiicant low-frequency power.

Joint Allocation of Computational and Communication Resources to Improve Energy Efficiency in Cellular Networks
Mobile cloud computing (MCC) is a new technology that has been developed to overcome the restrictions of smart mobile devices (e.g. battery, processing power, storage capacity, etc.) to send a part of the program (with complex computing) to the cloud server (CS). In this paper, we study a multi-cell with multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) system in which the cell-interior users request service...
متن کاملMaximizing the Mutual Information of Multi-Antenna Links Under an Interfered Receiver Power Constraint
Single-user multiple-input / multiple-output (SU-MIMO) communication systems have been successfully used over the years and have provided a significant increase on a wireless link’s capacity by enabling the transmission of multiple data streams. Assuming channel knowledge at the transmitter, the maximization of the mutual information of a MIMO link is achieved by finding the optimal power alloc...
متن کاملAn Effective Data Distribution using Resource Allocation in CR Networks through Balanced Queue
Cognitive Radio (CR) is an emerging technology for future wireless communication and technology. In the existing system, there is a multiple allocation over all the bands and also there is a crisis for spectrum availability, therefore a new approach for spectrum licensing is needed. Hence the optimal solution for the above case is cognitive radio. the resource-allocation problem in multihop CR ...
متن کاملOutage Channel Capacity of Direct/Cooperative AF Relay Switched SC-FDMA Using Spectrum Division/Adaptive Subcarrier Allocation
In this paper, a direct/cooperative relay switched single carrier-frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) using amplify-andforward (AF) protocol and spectrum division/adaptive subcarrier allocation (SDASA) is proposed. Using SDASA, the transmit SC signal spectrum is divided into sub-blocks, to each of which a different set of subcarriers (resource block) is adaptively allocated according t...
متن کاملSpectrum sensing and resource allocation for multicarrier cognitive radio systems under interference and power constraints
Multicarrier waveforms have been commonly recognized as strong candidates for cognitive radio. In this paper, we study the dynamics of spectrum sensing and spectrum allocation functions in cognitive radio context using very practical signal models for the primary users (PUs), including the effects of power amplifier nonlinearities. We start by sensing the spectrum with energy detection-based wi...
