Post-PCNL Renal Artery Pseudoanurysm.

چکیده
A renal artery pseudoaneurysm is a rare but important complication that can occur after renal trauma, renal biopsy, percutaneous nephrostomy, percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), and partial nephrectomy. The incidence of this potentially life-threatening complication is less than 1%, but is likely to increase with the increasing popularity of endoscopic renal procedures. We present a case of a 30-year female who underwent right PCNL for a right renal pelvic stone. Two weeks later, she presented with massive hematuria. Renal angiography revealed psuedoanurysm of interlobar artery which was successfully treated with coil embolization.

Superselective Renal Artery Embolization in the Treatment of Iatrogenic Bleeding into the Urinary Tract
BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of superselective renal artery embolization in patients with bleeding into the urinary system. MATERIAL/METHODS From 2007 to 2012, 20 patients were treated with superselective renal artery embolization for bleeding after percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), nephron-sparing surgery (NSS), including 1 patient with AVF after PCNL. Dur...
متن کاملDelayed Migration of Embolized Coil with Large Renal Stone Formation: A Rare Presentation
Delayed bleeding following percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) usually occurs due to development of the pseudoaneurysm which can be successfully managed with coil embolization. However very few cases of such complications have been reported in the literature. Here we are reporting a case of delayed post-PCNL bleeding that occurred in a 53-year-old diabetic patient operated on for renal stone. C...
متن کاملRole of multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT) in management of post percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) bleeding
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the role of multidetector computerized tomography (MDCT) angiography in post percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) bleed and compare findings with conventional angiography (CA). MATERIAL AND METHODS We conducted a retrospective analysis of patients who had post PCNL bleeding and subsequently underwent a MDCT angiography followed by CA. We reviewed eight patients, who prese...
متن کاملTransarterial embolization of renal vascular lesions after percutaneous nephrolithotomy.
INTRODUCTION Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) represents a safe and efficient procedure in the surgical management of renal lithiasis. Nevertheless, surgeons have to face specific complications during and after the procedure, hemorrhage being one of the most common. In most cases the injuries are self-limited and do not need a surgical intervention. Renal arteriography with selective angiogr...
متن کاملA novel endoscopic treatment for renal arteriopelvic fistula post-percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL).
MAIN FINDINGS We describe the use of a novel endoscopic approach in the management of unremitting gross hematuria following post-percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) in a 65-years-old male. This approach proved successful and cost-effective in managing haemorrhage post-PCNL when renal angiography failed to localize the source of bleeding. Case hypothesis: The recommended treatment modality for r...
