چکیده
Usage of background knowledge about events and their relations to other concepts in the application domain can improve the expressiveness and flexibility of complex event processing systems. Huge amounts of domain background knowledge stored in external knowledge bases can be used in combination with event processing in order to achieve more knowledgeable complex event processing. In this dissertation, I address the challenges of adding formalized vocabularies/ontologies and declarative rules to the area of event processing for enabling more intelligent event processors which can understand the semantics of events.

In April 2013, the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) exposed the details of 130,000 offshore accounts. Although there are legitimate businesses which use such accounts, there exist a number of accounts which are possibly linked to international tax fraud and money laundering. The ICIJ investigation was based on 2.5 million records of offshore holdings linked to 170 co...
متن کاملRule Interchange in the Semantic Web
Rule interchange has become one of the most important issues in the Semantic Web. As a recommendation of the W3C (WWW Consortium), RIF (Rule Interchange Format) is dedicated to rule interchange between different rule languages. To be a general rule interchange format, RIF should first support rule interchange with SWRL (Semantic Web Rule Language), RuleML (Rule Markup Language), R2ML (REWERSE R...
متن کاملTransformation and Aggregation Preprocessing for Top-k Recommendation GAP Rules Induction
In this paper we describe the KTIML team approach to RuleML 2015 Rule-based Recommender Systems for the Web of Data Challenge Track. The task is to estimate the top 5 movies for each user separately in a semantically enriched MovieLens 1M dataset. We have three results. Best is a domain specific method like "recommend for all users the same set of movies from Spielberg". Our contributions are d...
متن کاملDistributed Rule-based Agents with Rule Responder and Reaction RuleML 1.0
Rule Responder is a rule-based multi-agent framework in which agents run platform-specific rule engines as distributed inference services. They communicate with each other using Reaction RuleML as the common rule interchange format, e.g. for question answering or execution of mobile rule code in distributed problem solving, concurrent processing workflows and distributed event/action processing...
