چکیده

In this paper, we study a free boundary problem for compressible spherically symmetric Navier-Stokes equations with a gravitational force and degenerate viscosity coefficients. Under certain assumptions that imposed on the initial data, we obtain the global existence and uniqueness of the weak solution and give some uniform bounds (with respect to time) of the solution. Moreover, we obtain some stabilization rate estimates in L∞-norm and weighted H-norm of the solution. The results show that such system is stable under the small perturbations, and could be applied to the astrophysics.

Global Solutions to the Spherically Symmetric Compressible Navier-Stokes Equations with Density-Dependent Viscosity

We consider the exterior problem and the initial boundary value problem for the spherically symmetric isentropic compressible Navier-Stokes equations with density-dependent viscosity coefficient in this paper. For regular initial density, we show that there exists a unique global strong solution to the exterior problem or the initial boundary value problem, respectively. In particular, the stro...

Global Behavior of Spherically Symmetric Navier-Stokes Equations with Density-Dependent Viscosity∗

In this paper, we study a free boundary problem for compressible spherically symmetric Navier-Stokes equations without a solid core. Under certain assumptions imposed on the initial data, we obtain the global existence and uniqueness of the weak solution, give some uniform bounds (with respect to time) of the solution and show that it converges to a stationary one as time tends to infinity. Global Weak Solutions to the Compressible Quantum Navier-Stokes Equations with Damping

The global-in-time existence of weak solutions to the barotropic compressible quantum Navier-Stokes equations with damping is proved for large data in three dimensional space. The model consists of the compressible Navier-Stokes equations with degenerate viscosity, and a nonlinear third-order differential operator, with the quantum Bohm potential, and the damping terms. The global weak solution...

Viscosity in spherically symmetric accretion

The influence of viscosity on the flow behaviour in spherically symmetric accretion, has been studied here. The governing equation chosen has been the Navier-Stokes equation. It has been found that at least for the transonic solution, viscosity acts as a mechanism that detracts from the effectiveness of gravity. This has been conjectured to set up a limiting scale of length for gravity to effec...

Existence of Global Weak Solutions for 3d Degenerate Compressible Navier-stokes Equations

In this paper, we prove the existence of global weak solutions for 3D compressible Navier-Stokes equations with degenerate viscosity. The method is based on the Bresch and Desjardins entropy conservation [2]. The main contribution of this paper is to derive the Mellet-Vasseur type inequality [32] for the weak solutions, even if it is not verified by the first level of approximation. This provid...
