Robust Cooperative Manipulation without Force/Torque Measurements: Control Design and Experiments
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper presents two novel control methodologies for the cooperative manipulation of an object by N robotic agents. Firstly, we design an adaptive control protocol which employs quaternion feedback for the object orientation to avoid potential representation singularities. Secondly, we propose a control protocol that guarantees predefined transient and steadystate performance for the object trajectory. Both methodologies are decentralized, since the agents calculate their own signals without communicating with each other, as well as robust to external disturbances and model uncertainties. Moreover, we consider that the grasping points are rigid, and avoid the need for force/torque measurements. Load sharing coefficients are also introduced to account for potential differences in the agents’ power capabilities. Finally, simulation and experimental results with two robotic arms verify the theoretical findings.

متن کاملManipulation Control of a Flexible Space Free Flying Robot Using Fuzzy Tuning Approach
Cooperative object manipulation control of rigid-flexible multi-body systems in space is studied in this paper. During such tasks, flexible members like solar panels may get vibrated that in turn may lead to some oscillatory disturbing forces on other subsystems, and consequently produces error in the motion of the end-effectors of the cooperative manipulating arms. Therefore, to design and dev...
متن کاملCooperative Quaternion-based Manipulation without Force/Torque Information
This paper proposes a task-space control protocol for the collaborative manipulation of a single object by N robotic agents. The proposed methodology is decentralized in the sense that each agent utilizes information associated with its own and the object’s dynamic/kinematic parameters and no on-line communication takes place. Moreover, no feedback of the contact forces/torques is required, the...
متن کاملRobust Controller Design Based-on Aerodynamic Load Simulator Identification Driven by PMSM for Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulations
Aerodynamic load simulators generate the required time varying load to test the actuator’s performance in the laboratory. Electric Load Simulator (ELS) as one of variety of the dynamic load simulators should follows the rotation of the Under Test Actuator (UTA) and applies the desired torque to UTA’s rotor at the same time. In such a situation, a very large torque is imposed to the ELS from the...

In the case of widely-uncertain non-linear system control design, it was very difficult to design a single controller to overcome control design specifications in all of its dynamical characteristics uncertainties. To resolve these problems, a new design method of robust fuzzy control proposed. The solution offered was by creating multiple soft-switching with Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model for optim...
