Productive Properties in Topological Groups

چکیده

According to the celebrated theorem of Comfort and Ross (1966), the product of an arbitrary family of pseudocompact topological groups is pseudocompact. We present an overview of several important generalizations of this result, both of “absolute” and “relative” nature. One of them is the preservation of functional boundedness for subsets of topological groups. Also we consider close notions of C-compactness and r-pseudocompactness for subsets of Tychonoff spaces and establish their productivity in the class of topological groups. Finally, we give a very brief overview of productivity properties in paratopological and semitopological groups.

Non-productive Duality Properties of Topological Groups

We address two properties for Abelian topological groups: “every closed subgroup is dually closed” and “every closed subgroup is dually embedded.” We exhibit a pair of topological groups such that each has both of the properties and the product has neither, which refutes a remark of N. Noble. These examples are the additive group of integers topologized with respect to a convergent sequence as ...

Productivity of coreflective classes of topological groups

Every nontrivial countably productive coreflective subcategory of topological linear spaces is κ-productive for a large cardinal κ (see [10]). Unlike that case, in uniform spaces for every infinite regular cardinal κ, there are coreflective subcategories that are κ-productive and not κ-productive (see [8]). From certain points of view, the category of topological groups lies in between those ca...

A note on quasi irresolute topological groups

In this study, we investigate the further properties of quasi irresolute topological groups defined in [20]. We show that if a group homomorphism f between quasi irresolute topological groups is irresolute at $e_G$, then $f$ is irresolute on $G$. Later we prove that in a semi-connected quasi irresolute topological group $(G,*,tau )$, if $V$ is any symmetric semi-open neighborhood of $e_G$, then...

L-FUZZIFYING TOPOLOGICAL GROUPS

The main purpose of this paper is to introduce a concept of$L$-fuzzifying topological groups (here $L$ is a completelydistributive lattice) and discuss some of their basic properties andthe structures. We prove that its corresponding $L$-fuzzifyingneighborhood structure is translation invariant. A characterizationof such topological groups in terms of the corresponding$L$-fuzzifying neighborhoo...

Homomorphisms on Topological Groups from the Perspective of Bourbaki-boundedness

In this note we study some topological properties of bounded sets and Bourbaki-bounded sets. Also we introduce two types of Bourbaki-bounded homomorphisms on topological groups  including, n$-$Bourbaki-bounded homomorphisms and$hspace{1mm}$ B$-$Bourbaki-bounded homomorphisms. We compare them to each other and with the class of continuous homomorphisms. So, two topologies are presented on them a...
