Fundamental of Secondary Structures in Peptide Based Synthetic Nanovaccine Development

چکیده
The peptides vaccines are composed of the twenty genetically coded amino acids generally exist as an ensemble of different conformational states in solution. The induction of folded conformations in short peptide vaccine sequences may be achieved by the incorporation of stereochemically constrained non-coded amino acids. The aim of this review briefly provides basic understanding of method of vaccine development. *Corresponding author: Dr. Rajagopal Appavu, Molecular Biophysics Unit, Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore 560012, India, Tel: 08

A Poly(Lactic-co-Glycolic) Acid Nanovaccine Based on Chimeric Peptides from Different Leishmania infantum Proteins Induces Dendritic Cells Maturation and Promotes Peptide-Specific IFNγ-Producing CD8+ T Cells Essential for the Protection against Experimental Visceral Leishmaniasis
Visceral leishmaniasis, caused by Leishmania (L.) donovani and L. infantum protozoan parasites, can provoke overwhelming and protracted epidemics, with high case-fatality rates. An effective vaccine against the disease must rely on the generation of a strong and long-lasting T cell immunity, mediated by CD4+ TH1 and CD8+ T cells. Multi-epitope peptide-based vaccine development is manifesting as...
متن کاملIn Silico and in Vitroinvestigations on cry4aand cry11atoxins of Bacillus thuringiensis var Israelensis
In the present study we attempted to correlate the structure and function of the cry11a (72 kDa) and cry4a (135 kDa) proteins of Bacillus thuringiensis var israelensis. Homology modeling and secondary structure predictions were done to locate most probable regions for finding helices or strands in these proteins. The JPRED (JPRED consensus secondary structure prediction server) secondary struct...

In this study, the effect of the secondary structure of the protein on the acid strength of three structures of random (R), alpha helix (α) and beta sheet (b) were investigated theoretically. These structures are related to the cationic amino acids of histidine and lysine in the polypeptide chain of eight-glycine residue. Computational methods at the HF, B3LYP, X3LYP and M05-2X levels in t...

Regarding high potential of green plants for development of recombinant vaccines, this research was conducted to evaluate expression of a novel recombinant vaccines against Foot and Mouth Disease (FMDV) in tobacco plant. For this purpose, a synthetic gene encoding 129-169 amino acids of foot and mouth disease virus capsid protein VP1 was transferred to tobacco plant via Agrobacterium-mediated g...

Clostridium botulinum type A (BoNT/A) produces a neurotoxin recently found to be useful as an injectable drug for the treatment of abnormal muscle contractions. The catalytic domain of this toxin which is responsible for the main toxin activity is a zinc metalloprotease that inhibits the release of neurotransmitter mediators in neuromuscular junctions. A cell penetrating cationic peptide, Tat, ...
