چکیده

It is proved that any static system that is spacetime-geodesically complete at infinity, and whose spacelike-topology outside a compact set is that of R minus a ball, is asymptotically flat. The matter is assumed compactly supported and no energy condition is required. A similar (though stronger) result applies to black holes too. This allows us to state a large generalisation of the uniqueness of the Schwarzschild solution not requiring asymptotic flatness. The Korotkin-Nicolai static black-hole shows that, for the given generalisation, no further flexibility in the hypothesis is possible.

Considering the single scalar field models of dark energy, i.e. the quintessence and phantom models, it is shown that the quantum effects can cause the system crosses the ω = −1 line. This phenomenon does not occur in classical level. The quantum effects are described via the account of conformal anomaly.

We explore a new horizon of modified gravity from the viewpoint of the particle physics. As a concrete example, we take the F (R) gravity to raise a question: can a scalar particle (“scalaron”) derived from the F (R) gravity be a dark matter candidate? We place the limit on the form of function F (R) from the constraint on the scalaron as a dark matter. The role of the screening mechanism and c...

We provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the generalized ⋆Sylvester matrix equation, AXB+CX ⋆ D = E, to have exactly one solution for any right-hand side E. These conditions are given for arbitrary coefficient matrices A,B,C,D (either square or rectangular) and generalize existing results for the same equation with square coefficients. We also review the known results regarding the ex...
