چکیده
to a comprehensive database of conventional orang-utan sounds, Adriano Lameira and colleagues from Durham University, UK, concluded that Rocky was able to learn new sounds not normally included in the vocal repertoire of his species. “This indicates that the voice control shown by humans could derive from an evolutionary ancestor with similar voice control capacities as those found in orang-utans and in all great apes more generally,” Lameira said in a press statement. “This opens up the potential for us to learn more about the vocal capacities of early hominids that lived before the split between the orang-utan and human lineages to see how the vocal system evolved towards fullblown speech in humans.” All in all, many animals appear to have the brains and the sounds to communicate in the way that many humans tend to prefer, by vocalisation. Talking with animals may just be a question of discovering the right enticement for them, or maybe of fi nding out what they want to talk about.

Prey-Predator System; Having Stable Periodic Orbit
The study of differential equations is useful in to analyze the possible past or future with help of present information. In this paper, the behavior of solutions has been analyzed around the equilibrium points for Gause model. Finally, some results are worked out to exist the stable periodic orbit for mentioned predator-prey system.

متن کاملHow moths escape bats: predicting outcomes of predator-prey interactions.
What determines whether fleeing prey escape from attacking predators? To answer this question, biologists have developed mathematical models that incorporate attack geometries, pursuit and escape trajectories, and kinematics of predator and prey. These models have rarely been tested using data from actual predator-prey encounters. To address this problem, we recorded multi-camera infrared video...
متن کاملStability analysis of a fractional order prey-predator system with nonmonotonic functional response
In this paper, we introduce fractional order of a planar fractional prey-predator system with a nonmonotonic functional response and anti-predator behaviour such that the adult preys can attack vulnerable predators. We analyze the existence and stability of all possible equilibria. Numerical simulations reveal that anti-predator behaviour not only makes the coexistence of the prey and predator ...
متن کاملPredation in two species of leech under laboratory conditions
Two 60 day experiments on predation behavior of leeches were conducted concurrently. In the first, medicinal leeches, Hirudo orientalis (Utevsky and Trontelj, 2005) were fed to satiation on bovine blood and subsequently transferred into two large opaque plastic containers of equal size but with differing temperatures, 6-7?C and 23-24?C, containing starved Erpobdella octoculata (L.). At the high...
