A Hybrid Symbolic-Numerical Method for Determining

چکیده
17 In this article, we present a method for determining whether a model is at least locally identifiable and in the case of non-identifiable models whether any of the parameters are individually at least locally identifiable. This method combines symbolic and numeric methods to create an algorithm that is extremely accurate compared to other numeric methods and computationally inexpensive. A series of generic computational steps are developed to create a method that is ideal for practitioners to use. The algorithm is compared to symbolic methods for two capture-recapture models and a compartment model.

Nonresonant Excitation of the Forced Duffing Equation
We investigate the hard nonresonant excitation of the forced Duffing equation with a positive damping parameter E. Using the symbolic manipulation system MACSYMA, a computer algebra system. we derive the two term perturbation expansion by the method of multiple time scales. The resulting approximate solution is valid for small values of the coefficient e As the damping parameter e increases, th...
متن کاملA hybrid symbolic-numerical approach to the center-focus problem
We propose a new hybrid symbolic-numerical approach to the center-focus problem. The method allowed us to obtain center conditions for a three-dimensional system of differential equations, which was previously not possible using traditional, purely symbolic computational techniques.

This paper proposes a plant/controller design integration method for H∞ loop-shaping design based on symbolic-numeric hybrid optimization. This approach firstly employs parametric polynomial spectral factorization to accomplish parametric optimization and derive an expression for the optimal cost. Owing to the obtained expression, sensitivity analysis of the achievable performance level with re...

Boundary control of time-fractional order diffusion-wave systems is becoming an active research area.
