چکیده

Principle component analysis (PCA) was used to extract components from the solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra of bacterial cellulose (BC). Polymers such as cellulose have several domain structures, and their structure and dynamics are reflected in the variety of solid-state spectra derived from different parameters. The complexity of the obtained spectra makes the analysis of spectra from relaxation measurements difficult. Multivariate analysis, such as PCA, has been suggested as an option to improve NMR spectral analyses. In this study, we attempted to extract peak components from cross polarization (CP) experiment data from the variable contact time spectra of BC by using PCA. The extracted peaks were annotated according to previous reports, and the existence of crystalline Ia was clearly recognized. The important components of the BC structure (that is, crystalline Ia, amorphous form and mobility) were separated in the PCA-loading plot and CP curve. New Empirical Models for Estimating Permeability in One of Southern Iranian Carbonate Fields using NMR-Derived Features

Permeability is arguably the most important property in evaluating fluid flow in the reservoir. It is also one of the most difficult parameters to measure in field. One of the main techniques for determining permeability is the application of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) logging across the borehole. However, available correlations in literature for estimating permeability from NMR data do n...

Synthesis and spectral characterization of naphthyldihydrazones derived from some 1,3- dicarbonyl compounds and their Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes

The coupling of tetrazotised 1,8-diaminonaphthalene with 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds [acetylacetone, methylacetoacetate and acetoacetanilide] yielded a new series of tetradentate ligand systems. Analytical, IR,1H NMR and mass spectral data indicate that the compounds exist in the intramolecularly hydrogen bondeddihydrazone form. Dibasic tetradentate N2O2 coordination of these compounds in their [ML...

Multinuclear NMR of CaSiO(3) glass: simulation from first-principles.

An integrated computational method which couples classical molecular dynamics simulations with density functional theory calculations is used to simulate the solid-state NMR spectra of amorphous CaSiO(3). Two CaSiO(3) glass models are obtained by shell-model molecular dynamics simulations, successively relaxed at the GGA-PBE level of theory. The calculation of the NMR parameters (chemical shiel...

Solid-state NMR investigations of cellulose structure and interactions with matrix polysaccharides in plant primary cell walls.

Until recently, the 3D architecture of plant cell walls was poorly understood due to the lack of high-resolution techniques for characterizing the molecular structure, dynamics, and intermolecular interactions of the wall polysaccharides in these insoluble biomolecular mixtures. We introduced multidimensional solid-state NMR (SSNMR) spectroscopy, coupled with (13)C labelling of whole plants, to...

Direct observation of cell wall structure in living plant tissues by solid-state C NMR spectroscopy.

Solid-state (13)C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra of the following intact plant tissues were recorded by the crosspolarization magic-angle spinning technique: celery (Apium graveolens L.) collenchyma; carob bean (Ceratonia siliqua L.), fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.), and nasturtium (Tropaeolum majus L.) endosperm; and lupin (Lupinus polyphyllus Lindl.) seed cotyledons. All th...
