چکیده

The local structure entropy is a new method which is proposed to identify the influential nodes in the complex networks. In this paper a new form of the local structure entropy of the complex networks is proposed based on the Tsallis entropy. The value of the entropic index q will influence the property of the local structure entropy. When the value of q is equal to 0, the nonextensive local structure entropy is degenerated to a new form of the degree centrality. When the value of q is equal to 1, the nonextensive local structure entropy is degenerated to the existing form of the local structure entropy. We also have find a nonextensive threshold value in the nonextensive local structure entropy. When the value of q is bigger than the nonextensive threshold value, change the value of q will has no influence on the property of the local structure entropy, and different complex networks have different ∗Corresponding author: Yong Deng, School of Computer and Information Science, Southwest University, Chongqing, 400715, China. The results in this paper show that the new nonextensive local structure entropy is a generalised of the local structure entropy. It is more reasonable and useful than the existing one.

A new structure entropy of complex networks based on Tsallis nonextensive statistical mechanics

The structure entropy is one of the most important parameters to describe the structure property of the complex networks. Most of the existing structure entropies are based on the degree or the betweenness centrality. In order to describe the structure property of the complex networks more reasonably, a new structure entropy of the complex networks based on the Tsallis nonextensive statistical ...

Nonextensive aspects of small-world networks

We have discussed the nonextensive aspects of degree distribution P (k) in Watts-Strogatz (WS) small-world networks by using the three approaches: (a) the maximum-entropy method, (b) hidden-variable distribution and (c) stochastic differential equation. In the method (a), P (k) in complex networks has been obtained by maximizing the nonextensive information entropy with the three constraints: <...

Nonextensive maximum-entropy approach to small-world networks

The degree distribution P (k) in complex networks has been obtained by maximizing the nonextensive information entropy with the three constraints: < 1 >= 1, < k >= μ and < k >= ρ, where <> denotes the average over P (k). The distribution P (k) is expressed by a generalized Gaussian (referred to as Q-Gaussian) which has a maximum at k = μ with a width proportional to √ ρ− μ2, in contrast to a co...

Link Prediction using Network Embedding based on Global Similarity

Background: The link prediction issue is one of the most widely used problems in complex network analysis. Link prediction requires knowing the background of previous link connections and combining them with available information. The link prediction local approaches with node structure objectives are fast in case of speed but are not accurate enough. On the other hand, the global link predicti...

Quantifying Dynamical Complexity of Magnetic Storms and Solar Flares via Nonextensive Tsallis Entropy

Over the last couple of decades nonextensive Tsallis entropy has shown remarkable applicability to describe nonequilibrium physical systems with large variability and multifractal structure. Herein, we review recent results from the application of Tsallis statistical mechanics to the detection of dynamical changes related with the occurrence of magnetic storms. We extend our review to describe ...
