چکیده
Suday, Sptem er 5, 2016 significantly increases the risk of postoperative vaginal stenosis. This paper proposes a simple technique for the reconstruction of thin septa, utilising two interdigitating Y-flaps. The authors also present their 7-year experience of utilising this technique. Custom made illustrations and serial intraoperative photographs will accompany the podium presentation in order to facilitate better understanding of the technique.

The Anterior Interosseus Artery Perforator Flap: Anatomical Dissections and Clinical Study
BACKGROUND Reconstruction of upper extremity deformities continues to be a challenge to the reconstructive surgeon. Various loco regional, distant and free flaps are available for reconstruction. However, each has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Of the commonly performed local flaps, radial artery forearm flap, and the posterior interosseus artery flap stand out prominently. Rec...

We present our experience of bilateral total breast reconstruction using a double-sided extended thoracodorsal artery perforator propeller flap in a case series of 10 patients. Reconstruction was successfully achieved in all cases with few complications. The median time for surgery was 275 minutes (200-330), and the average implant size used was 350 cm(3) (195-650). We demonstrate how the exten...
متن کاملProfunda Femoris Artery Perforator Propeller Flap: A Valid Method to Cover Complicated Ischiatic Pressure Sores
We report the case of a 50-year-old paraplegic man with a complicated grade III/IV ischiatic pressure sore treated with a propeller flap based on the first perforator of the profunda femoris artery. Our aim was to surgically reconstruct an ischiatic pressure sore in a patient with ankylosis using a fasciocutaneous perforator propeller flap obtained from the posterior region of the thigh. Our de...
متن کاملErgonomics and Biogeometry of Perforator/Propeller Flaps in the Lower Limb Reconstruction
Reconstruction of lower limb defects is quite challenging in terms of scarcity of locally available flaps, poor wound healing and need for prolonged immobilization. Normally also there is decreased blood supply in the anterolateral aspect of leg and foot. Leg and foot is like a peninsula with no distal tissues available for proximal reconstruction. Also there is a paucity of loose tissue in leg...
متن کاملThe Versatility of Perforator-Based Propeller Flap for Reconstruction of Distal Leg and Ankle Defects
Introduction. Soft tissue coverage of distal leg and ankle region represents a challenge and such defect usually requires a free flap. However, this may lead to considerable donor site morbidity, is time consuming, and needs facility of microsurgery. With the introduction of perforator flap, management of small- and medium-size defects of distal leg and ankle region is convenient, less time con...
