AANA Journal June 2016 Vol. 84, No. 3 155 On Combat Anesthesia To the editor: I was reading the article on combat anesthesia, August 2015, Vol 83, No 4, pages 247-253. There is a comment in the article on page 251, about Role VI care; I believe the authors meant to state Role IV care. Also, in the paragraph on page 250: “In the military, nearly everyone knows his or her blood type; it is on everyone’s dog tag (although it is wrong about 4% to 10% of the time) ...” I did not see the authors’ reference(s) for this statistical data. I was wondering if the authors could provide their reference(s) used for this statement.

Hazardous alcohol use among active duty Air Force personnel: identifying unique risk and promotive factors.
Hazardous drinking is a significant public health concern and an important target for prevention efforts within both military and civilian populations. For such efforts to be maximally effective, comprehensive information regarding factors that increase or decrease risk for hazardous drinking is necessary. This is the first study to investigate risk and promotive factors across individual, fami...
متن کاملDemonstration of replicable dimensions of health behaviors.
Health behaviors are known to be multidimensional, but the precise number of dimensions involved and their behavioral content have not been clearly established. Using convergence of factor analyses of 40 health behaviors across two samples as the criterion for identifying both the number and content of health behavior dimensions, the present study showed that individual differences in health be...
متن کاملAlcohol use behaviors and risk of metabolic syndrome in South Korean middle-aged men
BACKGROUND It is thought that small volumes of alcohol may have positive effects on health. However, excessive drinking results in serious health problems. An accurate method to determine individual alcohol use behaviors are needed to assess objectively the extent to which drinking affects health. This study investigated the association between risk of metabolic syndrome (MetS) and alcohol use ...
متن کاملDeveloping a Bi-level Objective Model of Risk-Cost Trade-off for Solving Locating-Routing Problem in Transportation of Hazardous Material
Allocating and routing problems in the field of transportation engineering are generally solved using the objective function of minimizing transport cost. Transport risk is a main concern in hazardous material transportation, mainly dependent on the vision of decision makers (national and/or local authorities). In this research work, a trade-off approach has been proposed to determine the safes...
متن کاملEmergency department-based brief intervention to reduce risky driving and hazardous/harmful drinking in young adults: a randomized controlled trial.
BACKGROUND Risky driving and hazardous drinking are associated with significant human and economic costs. Brief interventions for more than one risky behavior have the potential to reduce health-compromising behaviors in populations with multiple risk-taking behaviors such as young adults. Emergency department (ED) visits provide a window of opportunity for interventions meant to reduce both ri...
