چکیده
I N addition to the principal imaginal discs (cephalic, labial, wing, haltere, leg and genital), the larva in Cyclorrhapha carries as discrete components the rudiments of the imaginal segmental abdominal hypodermis, salivary glands, fore-, midand hind-gut, lateral cerebral ganglia and segmental tracheal system (Snodgrass, 1924; Bodenstein, 1950; Shatoury, 19566; Anderson, 1964, etc.). The embryonic origins of these rudiments have never been firmly established. The present paper describes their origins in the embryo and larva of Dacus tryoni (Frogg.) (Trypetidae), taking a further step in the elucidation of the developmental relationship between the cyclorrhaphan larva and adult.

متن کاملRecords of Dacine Fruit Flies and New Species of Dacus (Diptera: Tephritidae) in Bhutan
– Twenty-nine species of Bactrocera Macquart and Dacus Fabricius are recorded from Bhutan, including two new species, Dacus (Mellesis) dorjii Drew & Romig and Dacus (Mellesis) fletcheri Drew. Information is given on location of type specimens, host plants, attractant records and geographic distributions for all species. For revised species, synonymies, diagnoses and remarks are also included.

The response of three larval–pupal parasitoids, Diachasmimorpha longicaudata (Ashmead), Diachasmimorpha tryoni (Cameron), and Tetrastichus giffardianus Silvestri, to the Hamakua pamakani gall fly, Procecidochares alani L., was determined in the laboratory. We also observed responses of these parasitoids to their normal rearing hosts, Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel) andCeratitis capitata (Weidemann...
متن کاملSpecies Diversity within a Community of the Curcurbit Fruit Flies Bactrocera cucurbitae, Dacus ciliatus, and Dacus demmerezi Roosting in Corn Borders Near Cucurbit Production Areas of Reunion Island
In order to better control fruit flies (Diptera: Tephritidae) attacking Cucurbitaceae on Reunion Island (21°6 S/ 55°36 E), biological characteristics (seasonal fluctuation, relative abundance, sex ratio) of communities roosting in corn borders were investigated. The study was conducted in austral summer across a range of altitudes (750-1150 m) corresponding to the main areas of cucurbit croppin...
متن کاملThe first complete mitochondrial genome of Dacus longicornis (Diptera: Tephritidae) using next-generation sequencing and mitochondrial genome phylogeny of Dacini tribe
The genus Dacus is one of the most economically important tephritid fruit flies. The first complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of Dacus species - D. longicornis was sequenced by next-generation sequencing in order to develop the mitogenome data for this genus. The circular 16,253 bp mitogenome is the typical set and arrangement of 37 genes present in the ancestral insect. The mitogenome ...
