چکیده

Objective: To compare the clinical efficacy of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction via autologous bone-patellar tendon-bone (auBPB), autologous hamstring tendon (auHT) and allogeneic bone-patellar tendon-bone (alBPB) under arthroscope. Methods: One hundred and thirty four cases of patients who accepted ACL reconstruction in our hospital from December 2013 to January 2016 were randomly assigned to three groups: auBPB group (n=40), auHT group (n=59), alBPB group (n=35). The operative time, hospital days, postoperative fever time, Lysholm, Tegner and IKDC knee functional scores at the eighteenth month of follow-up, Lachman test results, pivot-shift test results and the incidence of adverse events of each group were observed and compared. Results: There was no significant difference in general conditions, injury time, stoller grade classification, Lysholm, Tegner and IKDC scores at the eighteenth month of follow-up, the results of Lachman test and pivot-shift test, postoperative average fever time, hospital days, the incidence of postoperative deep venous thrombosis and infection among three groups (all P>0.05). The operative time of alBPB group was significantly shorter than those of the other two groups (P<0.05). The anterior knee pain of auBPB group was significantly more than those of the other two groups (P=0.003 vs. auHT, P=0.029 vs. alBPB). Conclusion: All the reconstruction of ACL via auBPB, auHT and alBPB could achieve positive postoperative knee joint stability, but the incidence of postoperative anterior knee pain after reconstruction of ACL via auBPB was higher.

Reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament:a comparison between bone-patellar tendon-bone grafts and four-strand hamstring grafts

Background :Disruption of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is a common ligamentous injury of the knee. The choice of graft for (ACL) reconstruction remains controversial. This prospective, randomized clinical trial aimed to compare clinical results of bone-patellar tendon-bone (BPTB) grafts and four-strand semitendinosus-gracilis (ST) grafts for ACL reconstruction over a 3-year follow-up inte...

Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction with or without Bracing

Background: Rupture of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) would cause instability and disability and if left untreated. Reconstruction is performed by different techniques including patellar bone graft, as the strongest device. Application of brace after ACL reconstructions has revealed doubtful results. Methods: One hundred ACL ruptured patients randomized into two groups were reconstructed with...

Allogeneic versus autologous derived cell sources for use in engineered bone-ligament-bone grafts in sheep anterior cruciate ligament repair.

The use of autografts versus allografts for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is controversial. The current popular options for ACL reconstruction are patellar tendon or hamstring autografts, yet advances in allograft technologies have made allogeneic grafts a favorable option for repair tissue. Despite this, the mismatched biomechanical properties and risk of osteoarthritis resul...

Autograft contamination during preparation for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.

BACKGROUND The autograft preparation process for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction has a potential for graft contamination. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the possibility of contamination of the bone-patellar tendon-bone and hamstring tendon autograft during preparation for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. METHODS A primary isolated reconstruction of the anterior ...

Comparison of Clinical Outcome of Autograft and Allograft Reconstruction for Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tears

BACKGROUND Hamstring (HS) autograft and bone-patellar tendon-bone allograft are the most common choice for reconstruction of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). There was a little report about the clinical outcome and difference of arthroscopic ACL reconstruction using allograft and autograft. This study aimed to compare the clinical outcome of autograft and allograft reconstruction for ACL tears...
