چکیده
We analyze some models of nonequilibrium systems proposed in the past decade which derive the laws of Irreversible Thermodynamics from deterministic dynamics. We find that these models do not posses the crucial property of local thermodynamic equilibrium, since they represent noninteracting particles systems. Hence, these models are not suited for a derivation of Irreversible Thermodynamics. In order to derive the laws of Irrevrsible Thermodynamics, it is essential that models with interacting particles be considered.

Irreversible thermodynamics of Poisson processes with reaction.
A kinetic model is derived to study the successive movements of particles, described by a Poisson process, as well as their generation. The irreversible thermodynamics of this system is also studied from the kinetic model. This makes it possible to evaluate the differences between thermodynamical quantities computed exactly and up to second-order. Such differences determine the range of validit...
متن کاملThe approach to the analysis of the dynamic of non-equilibrium open systems and irreversibility
The approach to the analysis of the dynamic of non-equilibrium open systems within the framework of the laws of classical mechanics on the example of a hard-disks is offered. This approach was based on Hamilton and Liouville generalized equations which was deduced for the subsystems of the nonequilibrium system. With the help of generalized Liouville equation it was obtained that two types of d...
متن کاملStochastic Thermodynamics of Brownian Motion
A stochastic thermodynamics of Brownian motion is set up in which state functions are expressed in terms of state variables through the same relations as in classical irreversible thermodynamics, with the difference that the state variables are now random fields accounting for the effect of fluctuations. Explicit expressions for the stochastic analog of entropy production and related quantities...
متن کاملOnsager Reciprocity in Premelting Solids
The diffusive motion of foreign particles dispersed in a premelting solid is analyzed within the framework of irreversible thermodynamics. We determine the mass diffusion coefficient, thermal diffusion coefficient and Soret coefficient of the particles in the dilute limit, and find good agreement with experimental data. In contrast to liquid suspensions, the unique nature of premelting solids a...
