چکیده

We evaluated the proliferation, cytolytic function, and phenotypic characteristics of antLCD3 plus interleukin-2 (IL-2) stimulated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from 44 patients with leukemia or non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) treated with multiagent chemotherapy or following bone marrow transplantation (BMT). BMT patients had decreased cell growth with only a 1.35 f 0.25 (autologous BMTfor acute lymphoblastic leukemia [ALL]), 1.24 f 0.25 (autologous BMT for NHL), and 0.8 f 0.1 (allogeneic BMT for leukemia) mean fold increase by day 5 of culture compared with controls (4.0 f 0.4). P < .001. Anti-CD3 + IL-2 activated cells from patients with ALL and NHL who had received autologous BMT and cells from patients with leukemia who underwent allogeneic BMT were more effective in lysing the natural

Evaluation of proliferation and cytokines production by mitogen-stimulated bovine peripheral blood mononuclear cells

This in vitro study was conducted to evaluate lymphocyte blastogenic and cytokine production by bovine peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) stimulated with phytohemagglutinin (PHA), pokeweed mitogen (PWM) and concanavalin A (Con A) mitogens, by using tetrazolium salt and ELISA tests, respectively. The results presented that  Interleukin-2 (IL-2), IL-4, IL-5, IL-10, IL-17 and IFN-...

Changes in some pro-and anti-inflammatory cytokines produced by bovine peripheral blood mononuclear cells following foot and mouth disease vaccination

Interleukin (IL)-17 is exclusively produced by CD4 helper T-cells upon activation. It most often acts as a pro-inflammatory cytokine, which stimulates the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF). In this study, we studied the in-vitro IL-17 response to specific antigens and a variety of mitogens and compared the IL-1...

In vitro study of deoxymethylspergualin on functions of lymphocytes and bone marrow cells from healthy volunteers.

15-Deoxy-11-O-methylspergualin (MeDSG) is an analogue of 15-deoxyspergualin, which has potent immunosuppressive activity. The present study was designed to evaluate the in vitro effects of MeDSG on the functions of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) and bone marrow cells derived from healthy volunteers. MeDSG failed to suppress the proliferation of PBMC stimulated with mitogens. In the a...

Anti-CD3 + interleukin-2 stimulation of marrow and blood: comparison of proliferation and cytotoxicity.

The proliferation and in vitro cytolytic activity of interleukin-2 (IL-2)-activated and anti-CD3 + IL-2-stimulated marrow mononuclear cells (MMC) and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) were studied. Samples from 8 normal donors, 15 patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and 7 patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) in remission were cultured in IL-2 (100 U/mL) or IL-2 (100 ...

The Effects of Dental Pulp Stem Cell Conditioned Media on the Proliferation of Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells

Background: Dental Pulp Stem Cells (DPSCs) are multipotent mesenchymal stem cells. DPSCs can renew themselves and differentiate into various cell types such as adipocytes, osteocytes, neurons, etc. DPSCs possess immunomodulatory properties and can inhibit peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) proliferation. Recent studies showed that conditioned-medium mesenchymal stem cells also had immunos...
