چکیده
The Dutch robot soccer team Clockwork Orange is a research project of the Delft University of Technology and the University of Amsterdam. In this project we study multi-robot collaboration, robot vision and robot control. Our research focus, overviewed in this paper, is on automatic calibration for robust colour segmentation, behaviour based robotics, reinforcement trained dribbling with the ball, team roles based on voting and world modelling based on particle filters.

Robot Soccer: Game or Science
Robot soccer is representative for the application of Multi Agent Systems in real-world dynamic situations. Robot soccer contains most of the important elements that are present in real world multi-agent applications, such as perception of dynamic environments, reactive behaviour, team coordination, communication and fusion of information, decision making in the presence of adversary objects. I...
متن کاملTeam Coordination among Robotic Soccer Players
We present an approach for coordinating a team of soccer playing robots, used by Clockwork Orange in the RoboCup middle-size league. It is based on the idea of dynamically distributing roles among the team members and adds the notion of a global team strategy (attack, defend and intercept). Utility functions are used for estimating how well suited a robot is for a certain role. They are not onl...
متن کاملEffective Mechatronic Models and Methods for Implementation an Autonomous Soccer Robot
Omni directional mobile robots have been popularly employed in several applications especially in soccer player robots considered in Robocup competitions. However, Omni directional navigation system, Omni-vision system and solenoid kicking mechanism in such mobile robots have not ever been combined. This situation brings the idea of a robot with no head direction into existence, a comprehensi...
متن کاملSoccer Goalkeeper Task Modeling and Analysis by Petri Nets
In a robotic soccer team, goalkeeper is an important challenging role, which has different characteristics from the other teammates. This paper proposes a new learning-based behavior model for a soccer goalkeeper robot by using Petri nets. The model focuses on modeling and analyzing, both qualitatively and quantitatively, for the goalkeeper role so that we have a model-based knowledge of the ta...

RoboCup competition as a great test-bed, has turned to a worldwide popular domains in recent years. The main object of such competitions is to deal with complex behavior of systems whichconsist of multiple autonomous agents. The rich experience of human soccer player can be used as a valuable reference for a robot soccer player. However, because of the differences between real and simulated soc...
