Scalar form factor of the nucleon and nucleon–scalar meson coupling constant in QCD
نویسنده
چکیده
Scalar form factor of the nucleon is calculated in the framework of light cone QCD sum rules, using the most general form of the baryon current. Using the result on scalar form factor of the nucleon, the nucleon–scalar σ and a0 meson coupling constants are estimated. Our results on these couplings are in good agreement with the prediction of the external field QCD sum rules method. The nucleon-sigma coupling constant in QCD Sum Rules
The external-field QCD Sum Rules method is used to evaluate the coupling constant of the light isoscalar-scalar meson (“σ” or ε) to the nucleon. The contributions that come from the excited nucleon states and the response of the continuum threshold to the external field are calculated. The obtained value of the coupling constant is compatible with the large value required in one-boson exchange ...
متن کاملNucleon structure effect on the longitudinal response function
Using the quark-meson coupling model, we study the longitudinal response function for quasielastic electron scattering from nuclear matter within relativistic RPA. In QMC the coupling constant between the scalar meson and the nucleon is expected to decrease with increasing nuclear density. Furthermore, since the electromagnetic form factors of the in-medium nucleon are modified at the same time...
متن کاملModified quark-meson coupling model for nuclear matter.
The quark-meson coupling model for nuclear matter, which describes nuclear matter as non-overlapping MIT bags bound by the self-consistent exchange of scalar and vector mesons, is modified by introducing medium modification of the bag constant. We argue that the bag constant should decrease with increasing density as a consequence of partial chiral symmetry restoration in nuclear medium. We mod...
متن کاملJülich hyperon - nucleon model revisited
A one-boson-exchange model for the hyperon-nucleon ( N, N ) interaction is presented. The model incorporates the standard one boson exchanges of the lowest pseudoscalar and vector meson multiplets with coupling constants fixed by SU(6) flavor symmetry relations. As the main new feature of the model, the contributions in the scalar-isoscalar (σ ) and vector-isovector (ρ) exchange channels are no...
متن کاملEffect of nucleon structure variation on the longitudinal response function
Using the quark-meson coupling (QMC) model, we study the longitudinal response function for quasielastic electron scattering from nuclear matter. In QMC the coupling constant between the scalar (σ) meson and the nucleon is expected to decrease with increasing nuclear density, because of the self-consistent modification of the structure of the nucleon. The reduction of the coupling constant then...
