چکیده

Introduction Blind source separation (BSS) refers to the problem of recovering signals from several observed linear mixtures (e.g., [1]). In this paper we deal with the convolutive mixing case as encountered, e.g., in acoustic environments, and aim at finding a corresponding demixing system, whose output signals yq(n), q = 1, . . . , P are described by yq(n) = ∑P p=1 ∑L−1 κ=0 wpq,κxp(n−κ), and where wpq,κ, κ = 0, . . . , L−1 denote the current weights of the MIMO filter taps from the p-th sensor channel xp(n) to the qth output channel (Fig. 1). We assume that the number of active source signals Q is less or equal to the number of microphones P . BSS algorithms are solely based on the assumption of mutual statistical independence of the different source signals. The separation is achieved by forcing the output signals yq to be mutually statistically decoupled up to joint moments of a certain order. In

Research on Blind Source Separation for Machine Vibrations

Blind source separation is a signal processing method based on independent component analysis, its aim is to separate the source signals from a set of observations (output of sensors) by assuming the source signals independently. This paper reviews the general concept of BSS firstly; especially the theory for convolutive mixtures, the model of convolutive mixture and two deconvolution structure...

On Neural Blind Separation with Noise Suppression and Redundancy Reduction

Noise is an unavoidable factor in real sensor signals. We study how additive and convolutive noise can be reduced or even eliminated in the blind source separation (BSS) problem. Particular attention is paid to cases in which the number of sensors is larger than the number of sources. We propose various methods and associated adaptive learning algorithms for such an extended BSS problem. Perfor...

Acoustic Echo and Noise Cancellation System for Hand- Free Telecommunication using Variable Step Size Algorithms

In this paper, acoustic echo cancellation with doubletalk detection system for a hand-free telecommunication system is implemented using Matlab. Here adaptive noise canceller with blind source separation (ANC-BSS) system is proposed to remove both background noise and far-end speaker echo signal in presence of double-talk. During the absence of double-talk, far-end speaker echo signal is cancel...

Convolutive Decorrelation Procedures for Blind Source Separation

Convolutive decorrelation algorithms form a class of powerful algorithms for blind source separation. In contrast to ICA, they are based on vanishing second order cross correlation functions between sources. We provide an analyze an unifying approach for convolu-tive decorrelation procedures. The convolutive decor-relation procedures impose the problem of simultaneously diagonalizing a number o...

Blind Source Separation of Convolutive Audio Using an Adaptive Stereo Basis

We consider the problem of convolutive blind source separation of audio mixtures. We propose an Adaptive Stereo Basis (ASB) method based on learning a set of basis vectors pairs from the time-domain stereo mixtures. The basis vector pairs are clustered using estimated directions of arrival (DOAs) such that each basis vector pair is associated with one source. The ASB method is compared with the...
