The paper utilizes a new and rich data set containing information on labor market outcomes, schooling attainment and schooling performance, as well as variables characterizing individuals' family environment. Although the results show statistically significant gender differences in several dimensions of the Chilean labor market, these gaps depend largely on individuals' level of schooling. Nonetheless, these findings should not be taken as decisive evidence of discrimination in the Chilean labor market, as future research based on better information might explain some of the unexplained labor market differences between genders.
