چکیده

Recent results have confirmed that the global rigidity of bar and joint frameworks on a graph G is a generic property in Euclidean spaces of all dimensions. While this creates the possibility of a combinatorial characterization of genericaly globally rigid graphs, the only current combinatorial characterizations, which are known to be deterministically computable in polynomial time, are in dimensions 1 and 2. We present a certificate for a framework which guarantees that the graph is generically globally rigid, and a corresponding algorithm, with polynomial complexity bound in the size of the graph, that can determine global rigidity for a given graph G. The algorithm has no false positives. In other words, if it reports that G is globally rigid, it is, but it may incorrectly report that G is probably not globally rigid. With this algorithm, we present a set of examples which clarify ∗Research supported in part by NSF Grant No. DMS–0209595 (USA). e-mail: [email protected] †Work supported in part by a grant from NSERC (Canada). e-mail: [email protected]

Global Rigidity: The Effect of Coning

Recent results have confirmed that the global rigidity of bar and joint frameworks on a graph G is a generic property in Euclidean spaces of all dimensions, although it is not known if there is a deterministic algorithm, that runs in polynomial time and space, to decide if a graph is generically globally rigid, although there is an algorithm [10] running in polynomial time and space that will d...

A New Second-order Strapdown Attitude Algorithm

Typically coning motion has been used as a standard input to assess the performance of the strapdown attitude algorithms. Traditional coning algorithms are based on the Bortz’s first-order rotation vector equation. The algorithm error is composed of two parts: drift error and approximation error. For the three (or more)-sample coning algorithms, calculation indicates that approximation error is...

Determination of Original Gas Condensate Composition in The Case of Gas Coning

Obtaining samples that represent original fluid of reservoirs optimizes reservoirs management. The optimized management increases recovery. Also, selecting and performing proper Improved Oil Recovery (IOR) or Enhance Oil Recovery (EOR) programs depend on collecting representative samples. Achieving accurate compositions of original in-situ fluid prevents overdesigning surface facilities. Re...

Correction: Tang, C. Y. and Chen, X.Y. A Class of Coning Algorithms Based on a Half-Compressed Structure.

Aiming to advance the coning algorithm performance of strapdown inertial navigation systems, a new half-compressed coning correction structure is presented. The half-compressed algorithm structure is analytically proven to be equivalent to the traditional compressed structure under coning environments. The half-compressed algorithm coefficients allow direct configuration from traditional compre...

A Studyof the Design of Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine

In this using paper a method is presented for the aerodynamic and structural analysis of a horizontal axis wind turbine using simplified methods. In the first part of the program the optimum rotor configuration for twist and chord is determined using the momentum and blade element theories for a rotor without coning or tilting and assuming zero drag average wind velocity. Then coning angle and ...
