چکیده

We study generalized amalgamation properties in simple theories. We state the definition of generalized amalgamation in such a way so that the properties are preserved under interpreted theories. To deal with the properties, new notions of generalized types and generalized Morley sequences are introduced. We consider several sub-hierarchies of simple theories that affect generalized amalgamation; examples are given to show the difference. A notion of an heir base model is introduced to prove positive amalgamation results about one of the hierarchies.

Generalized Amalgamation in Simple Theories and Characterization of Dependence in Non-elementary Classes

We examine the properties of dependence relations in certain non-elementary classes and first-order simple theories. There are two major parts. The goal of the first part is to identify the properties of dependence relations in certain non-elementary classes that, firstly, characterize the model-theoretic properties of those classes; and secondly, allow to uniquely describe an abstract dependen...

Comparative studies of extraction chromatography and electro-amalgamation separation to produce no-carrier added 177Lu by Tehran research reactor

Introduction:Owing to its favorable radionuclidic characteristics, such as tl/2 = 6.73 day and Eβ (max) = 497 keV and ease of its large-scale production using medium flux research reactors, lutetium-177 (177Lu) is an attractive radionuclide for various therapeutic applications. No carrier added (NCA) 177Lu was obtained by thermal neut...

Groupoids, Imaginaries and Internal Covers

The questions this manuscript addresses arose in the course of an investigation of the imaginary sorts in ultraproducts of p-adic fields. These were shown to be understandable given the imaginary sorts of certain finite-dimensional vector spaces over the residue field. The residue field is pseudo-finite, and the imaginary elements there were previously studied, and shown in fact to be eliminabl...

Homology groups of types in model theory and the computation of H2(p)

We present definitions of homology groups Hn(p), n ≥ 0, associated to a complete type p. We show that if the generalized amalgamation properties hold, then the homology groups are trivial. We compute the group H2(p) for strong types in stable theories and show that any profinite abelian group can occur as the group H2(p). The work described in this paper was originally inspired by Hrushovski’s ...

Homology groups of types in stable theories and the Hurewicz correspondence

We give an explicit description of the homology group Hn(p) of a strong type p in any stable theory under the assumption that for every non-forking extension q of p the groups Hi(q) are trivial for 2 ≤ i < n. The group Hn(p) turns out to be isomorphic to the automorphism group of a certain piece of the algebraic closure of n independent realizations of p; it was shown earlier by the authors tha...
