Narrative Theory and Emergent Interactive Narrative

چکیده
This paper considers narrative theory in the light of the requirements of a project just started to use stories around the theme of bullying to build empathy in child users and achieve pedagogical objectives. It describes and discusses the theories of Aristotle, Propp and Barthes, and concludes that the approach taken in improvisational drama and human Role playing Games is more appropriate for an interactive narrative in a virtual environment.
