Our CMB

چکیده
A database with a high density of accurate distances is used to investigate the contributions to the motion of our Galaxy. It is found that the motion of the Local Group separates remarkably cleanly into 3 components: a large-scale attraction toward structure in the ‘Great Attractor’ sector, a midscale attraction toward the Virgo Cluster, and a local-scale ‘repulsion’ from the Local Void. These 3 components cause motions of comparable amplitudes and, conveniently, are directed almost orthogonal to one another.

Effects of Humic Acid and Cow Manure Biochar (CMB) in Culture Medium on Growth and Mineral Concentrations of Basil Plant
In sustainable agriculture, protection of the ecosystem and reduce chemical fertilizers are the main goals. Nowadays, sweet basil, one of the best general fragrant foliage, is considered as an industrial plant. In present study to compare different levels of cow manure biochar (CMB) and humic acid (HA) on vegetative traits and mineral absorption rate of green basil plants, an experiment was con...

متن کاملAberration of the Cosmic Microwave Background
The motion of the solar system barycenter with respect to the cosmic microwave background (CMB) induces a very large apparent dipole component into the CMB brightness map at the 3 mK level. In this Letter we discuss another kinematic effect of our motion through the CMB: the small shift in apparent angular positions due to the aberration of light. The aberration angles are only of order β ≃ 0.0...
متن کاملCMB anisotropy science: a review
The cosmic microwave background (CMB) provides us with our most direct observational window to the early universe. Observations of the temperature and polarization anisotropies in the CMB have played a critical role in defining the now-standard cosmological model. In this contribution we review some of the basics of CMB science, highlighting the role of observations made with ground-based and b...
متن کاملGalactic Free-free Emission and Hα
We review present understanding of Galactic free–free emission and its possible importance to CMB fluctuation measurements. Current results, from both " direct " observations in the microwave band and from Hα studies, suggest that this foreground does not represent a serious obstacle to mapping the CMB; however, this is based on limited information and we emphasize the need for more exhaustive ...
متن کاملlatitudes and CMB polarization
We estimate the dust polarized emission in our galaxy at high galactic latitudes, which is the dominant foreground for measuring CMB polarization using the high frequency instrument (HFI) aboard Planck surveyor. We compare it with the level of CMB polarization and conclude that, for angular scales ≤ 1 • , the scalar-induced CMB polarization and temperature-polarization cross-correlation are muc...
