Abrtnxcl-In this contribution wa p r ~ p a ~ now1 Coded Modulation auhtad Genatic Algorithm based hrfultirwr Detection (CM-GA-MUD) scheme for synchronous CDhrIA systems. The parfonnnnce of the p r o p 4 acheme WIU invatigatad ruing QusdraturaPhsraShift-Keying (QPSK), when communiuting over AWGN m d narrowband Rqyleigh fading chnnneb. When cumpard with the optimum MUD acheme. the CA-MUD subsyttam ia capable ofraducing the computatiorul complexity signiflckatly. On the other hand, the CM subayxstem is capable of obtaining considarable coding gains despite being fed with sub-optimal Information provided by the GA-MUD output.
