Wr had the pleasure of noticing the first edition of this book, and can testify to the thorough way in which the present edition lias been brought lip to date. It is not intended to be an exhaustive treatise 011 hygiene, but we think clearly fulfils its function of being a clear, reliable and practical manual for the use of students, practitioners and health officers. Nowadays every practising medical man must needs know something of this important and special branch of medical science, for such we can confidently recommend Dr. Bergey's volume.
