چکیده
A new chemosensor which can detect Hg(2+) in water and Hg(2+)/Cu(2+) in acetonitrile and its application as a molecular keypad lock using Cu(2+) and F(-) as ionic inputs are demonstrated.

Fluorescent probe mimicking multiple logic gates and a molecular keypad lock upon interaction with Hg2+ and bovine serum albumin.
The output fluorescence exhibited by an intramolecular charge transfer fluorescent probe 1 providing different chemical inputs mimicked multiple logic gates. A molecular keypad lock security device authorizing password entries (logic memory) and capable of solving crossword puzzles has been constructed by computing the output emission of 1 upon chemical inputs of BSA and Hg(2+). Based on logic ...
متن کامل"Turn-on" fluorescent sensor for Hg2+ via displacement approach.
A new Cu2+ compound Cu- NB, (where H2 NB is bis(2-hydroxyl-naphthalene-carboxaldehyde) benzil dihydrazone) was synthesized as a highly selective fluorescence chemosensor for the detection of Hg2+ in aqueous media through a displacement "turn-on" signaling strategy. Whereas the coordination of Cu2+ resulted in a considerable quenching of the typical luminescence of the naphthol rings in Cu-NB, t...
متن کاملSynthesis of Novel Bis-Benzimidazolyl Podands: A new Chemosensor for Cu2+
Some new compounds based on bis-benzimidazole moieties have been synthesized and characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopies. The ability of 3a in transition metal cation sensing such as Co2+, Ni2+, Zn2+, Mn2+, Fe2+ and Cu2+ have been investigated by Uv-vis and fluorescence spectroscopy in methanol solvent. The complexation constants and complex stoichiometry of Cu2+ have been determined. The ex...

An indole based "ratiometric" and "turn-off" tris(N-methylindolyl)methane based chemosensor depicting a contrasting fluorescent behavior towards Hg(2+) and Cu(2+) ions, exhibited NOR and YES logic functions, and also imaged intracellular Hg(2+) in cervix cancer (HeLa) cells.
متن کاملAll-Photonic Molecular Keypad Lock
Herein we demonstrate a molecular triad (1, Figure 1) comprising two photochromic units and a fluorescent porphyrin reporter that functions as an all-photonic keypad lock. The lock is a molecular automaton that opens only when exposed to one out of 8 possible 2-digit codes, can be reset many times, and can be activated remotely. Investigations of molecular approaches to logic operations began w...
