چکیده

We study two dimensional Brownian motion in an ordered periodic system of linear reflecting barriers using the sampling method and conformal transformations. We calculate the effective diffusivity for the Brownian particle. When the periods are fixed but the length of the barrier goes to zero, the effective diffusivity in the direction perpendicular to the barriers differs from the standard one by a term of order 2 where is the length of a barrier. The CFD simulation has been undertaken concerning natural convection heat transfer of a nanofluid in vertical square enclosure, whose dimension, width height length (mm), is 40 40 90, respectively. The nanofluid used in the present study is -water with various volumetric fractions of the alumina nanoparticles ranging from 0-3%. The Rayleigh number is . Fluent v6.3 is used to simulate nanofluid ...

Phase Diagram for Turbulent Transport: Sampling Drift, Eddy Diffusivity and Variational Principles

We study the long-time, large scale transport in a three-parameter family of isotropic, incompressible velocity fields with power-law spectra. Scaling law for transport is characterized by the scaling exponent q and the Hurst exponent H , as functions of the parameters. The parameter space is divided into regimes of scaling laws of different functional forms of the scaling exponent and the Hurs...

1Slow diffusion for a Brownian motion with random reflecting barriers

Let β be a positive number: we consider a particle performing a one dimensional Brownian motion with drift -β, diffusion coefficient 1, and a reflecting barrier at 0. We prove that the time R, needed by the particle to reach a random level X, has the same distribution tail as Γ(α+1)1/α e2βX/2β2, provided that one of these tails is regularly varying with negative index α. As a consequence, we di...

A wavelet method for stochastic Volterra integral equations and its application to general stock model

In this article,we present a wavelet method for solving stochastic Volterra integral equations based on Haar wavelets. First, we approximate all functions involved in the problem by Haar Wavelets then, by substituting the obtained approximations in the problem, using the It^{o} integral formula and collocation points then, the main problem changes into a system of linear or nonlinear equation w...

BSDEs with two reflecting barriers driven by a Brownian and a Poisson noise and related Dynkin game

In this paper we study BSDEs with two reflecting barriers driven by a Brownian motion and an independent Poisson process. We show the existence and uniqueness of local and global solutions. As an application we solve the related zero-sum Dynkin game.
