Social network analysis: a new approach for business process reengineering

In today’s competitive environment, business process reengineering has a great role in improving operational efficiency for most organizations. This paper bases on social network analysis (SNA) as a new approach to work over configurable efficiency for business process reengineering without respect to other factors. Organization is regard as the network where units or actor are as nodes and relations are as the connectors between nodes. According to some measuring indexes of SNA, characteristics of each actor’s exchanging activities affected by the structure are shown obviously. It’s favourable to reveal the myth of connection and redesign the business process in the organization. Key-Words: Social network analysis; BPR
